re:newcell is a small technology company that was founded in January 2012 by a
group of researchers from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a small
investment company. The company has through this co-operation accomplished a
new ground breaking recycling process of cotton and other cellulosic textiles
such as viscose into new textile fibres.

Recycling cotton into new fibers

Re:newcell has made Rayon from recycled cotton and created the first dress
from 100% recycled cotton. They are also building textile recycling factories
throughout Europe. Re:newcell has partnered with companies including the
Swedish company, SKS Textile. This is not a perfect solution as the resulting
material is Rayon, which is harder to recycle.
